We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build, operate, and continuously improve the infrastructure that powers our products. You will work across cloud infrastructure, virtualization, deployment automation, and observability to ensure our systems remain reliable, performant, and scalable as Base grows.

At Base, you will have the opportunity to tackle real-world infrastructure challenges, investigate complex production issues, and improve how engineering teams deploy and operate software.

WHAT YOU DO

• Cloud Infrastructure: Operate, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of production environments.

• Infrastructure & Virtualization: Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure across containerized and virtualized environments, including Docker, Kubernetes, and virtual machines (VMs).

• System Performance & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure issues involving Linux systems, web servers, networking, resource utilization, and application performance. Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term improvements.

• Monitoring & Observability: Build, maintain, and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability systems to provide visibility into system health and help detect and resolve incidents effectively.

• CI/CD & Deployment Automation: Develop and maintain automated build, deployment, and release workflows using CI/CD tools and GitOps practices to improve delivery speed, consistency, and reliability.

• Infrastructure Automation & Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks, optimize infrastructure utilization, and improve operational efficiency.

• Reliability & Security: Improve system availability, resilience, and security through infrastructure hardening, access control, backup and recovery practices, and proactive incident prevention.

• Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with Software Engineers and other technical teams to improve deployment processes, production readiness, and the reliability of Base’s products.

WHO YOU ARE

• Have hands-on experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, System Administration, or a related technical role.

• Have a solid understanding of Linux systems, including system administration, resource management, and troubleshooting.

• Understand networking fundamentals and web server technologies such as Apache, with the ability to investigate infrastructure-level performance issues.

• Have practical experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and understand core cloud concepts such as compute, networking, storage, and access management.

• Have experience operating containerized or virtualized environments, including Docker, Kubernetes, and/or virtual machines.

• Understand monitoring, logging, and observability principles, with experience using relevant tools to monitor system health and troubleshoot production issues.

• Have experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows. Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, and Helm is an advantage.

• Are comfortable with scripting or automation to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.

• Have a strong troubleshooting mindset, the ability to investigate problems systematically, and a sense of ownership over production systems.

• Are proactive in learning new technologies and adapting to evolving engineering practices, including leveraging AI tools to accelerate learning and problem-solving.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Vietnamese cloud providers such as FPT Smart Cloud, CMC Cloud, or Viettel Cloud.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, or GitOps practices.

• Experience optimizing infrastructure costs, system performance, and resource utilization in production environments.

• Experience working with large-scale systems or distributed architectures.
