1. Role Overview

The Strategic Partnerships Manager is responsible for building and expanding Base’s partner ecosystem to drive business growth. This is a strategic leadership role, combining network development, deep product understanding, and business development to create new revenue channels, expand market reach, and strengthen Base’s brand presence in Vietnam.

This role is not about simply “connecting and maintaining relationships.” It is about architecting the entire Partnership System: recruiting partners → operating the model → evaluating effectiveness → optimizing performance → co-driving go-to-market motions.

2. What You Will Own (Key Responsibilities)

A. Partnership Strategy & Ecosystem Building

  • Develop Base’s partnership strategy across multiple partner types: managed service providers, consulting firms, technology vendors, digital agencies, professional communities, and more.

  • Identify target partner segments, priority markets, and fit-for-purpose go-to-market models (referral partnerships, co-selling, channel models, etc.).

  • Design a comprehensive partnership program, including tiers, benefits, incentives, enablement systems, service-level agreements, and performance KPIs.

B. Network Expansion & Branding Through Partnership

  • Build high-level connections with founders, CEOs, digital agencies, and business communities.

  • Develop co-branded initiatives such as webinars, workshops, industry events, and partner-led campaigns.

  • Represent Base in high-profile networking events, industry roundtables, and ecosystem gatherings.

C. Business Development Through Partners

  • Build and manage a revenue pipeline through partners; execute joint business development campaigns.

  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to design playbooks for each partner type: acquisition → activation → revenue → renewal.

  • Track and optimize partner performance using data dashboards (KPIs, deal flow, activation rate, win rate, etc.).

D. Partnership Operations & System Management

  • Build and manage the end-to-end partner operations system: onboarding, training, deal registration, payouts, and performance tracking.

  • Ensure partners understand Base’s product stack at a deep enough level to advise customers independently.

  • Work closely with Product and Sales to maintain consistent product messaging across the ecosystem.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of active partners per month/quarter.

  • Revenue generated through the partnership channel.

  • Qualified deals contributed to the Sales pipeline.

  • Cost and ROI of the partner ecosystem.

  • Brand coverage through co-marketing and collaborative activities.

4. What We Are Looking For

Must-have Experience

  • 5–8 years in Partnerships or Business Development in SaaS/Tech companies.

  • Strong existing network across SMEs, consulting firms, digital agencies, and tech ecosystems in Vietnam.

  • Experience building partner ecosystems or managing reseller/channel models.

  • Strong understanding of tech products, SaaS business models, go-to-market frameworks, and both technical and commercial fluency.

Strong Capabilities In

  • Partnership strategy and system design.

  • High-level negotiation and stakeholder management.

  • Business acumen and the ability to build effective GTM models.

  • Communication and relationship leadership.

  • Data-driven decision-making and performance management through dashboards.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in startups or scale-up environments.

  • Existing relationships with business associations and community organizations.

  • Ability to train partners on product or go-to-market topics.
